Organ Donation
So Life Can Go On
For as long as I can remember, I have supported the Organ Donor scheme,
and made the decision many, many years ago that I wanted my body to be
used, after my death, to help others and/or to further scientific knowledge.
This project is a reflection or simple parable to demonstrate this idea.
Each of the five completed bags shown has benefited from the donation
of one or more parts from the “dead” and dissected bag.
Most of us make at least some effort to recycle household waste in order
to prolong the life of our planet. Most of us are proud and pleased to
be able to respond to high-profile appeals for financial aid. 80% of people
in the UK still do not carry a donor card.
